Copper Oil Spot Mug

This beautiful mug is made using two glazes that create an oil spot effect.

Starts Apr 20
90 Canadian dollars
4220 Upper Dwyer Hill Road

Service Description

☕️ This beautiful mug is made using two very specific glazes in order to create the oil spot effect. The photo shows the effect using Amaco Ancient Copper and Amaco Snow. If you choose, instead of Ancient Copper you may use Amaco Storm (dark blue), or Amaco Rainforest (dark green). You must use Amaco Snow as the overlap of Snow and one of the above glazes is what creates the oil spot effect. In this beginner-friendly, handbuilding workshop, you'll make a bellied mug out of white clay. Then in 3 weeks, you’ll come back to glaze it with one of the options listed above. These are the only glaze options available for this class. Cheryl will guide you step-by-step through the process, using our tools, forms and glaze. ✨ What’s Included? ✔️ Step-by-step instruction – Perfect for all skill levels, Cheryl will help you create a piece you will be proud of. ✔️ All materials provided – We supply premium clay, tools and forms, as well as the glaze, to bring your vision to life. ✔️ Personalization options – Each design is your own. We can’t wait to see your creativity! We have rollers and stamps and letters to use to make your mug unique. ✔️ Kiln-firing included – We’ll dry and fire your piece (twice) so it’s ready to last for years to come. ✅ Spots are limited! Don’t miss your chance to handbuild and glaze these spooky mugs that your friends will ask you “Where did you get that?” and you can say “I made it!” Level of class - Basic What you take home – One mug. Our standard mug will hold 16 oz of liquid but smaller options are available.
